Crossing Canada With The Maplemusketeer Volume One - An Overview (June 2014) | Page 24

CANADA IS A LARGE COUNTRY It has numerous regions, comprised of many people with diverse talents. In between these populations of people are miles of land crossed by roads, wires, and rail lines. Canada is connected by currency, cultures, and ideas. It is a young country, born of ideas and expectations, with history and future being walked out by all those who now call it home. I am one of these. You shall meet a few more before this series is done, and you’ll learn more about them, this country, and myself, in the process. Much like the start of my journey, the start of this series isn’t about my having all of the answers, knowing exactly what the course looks like, or even how I’m going to get to the next part. This book, this trip, are the result of my willingness to be afraid at times, to be nervous, to feel awkward, and to keep going. It is a walking out, and putting to the test, the idea that we can find greater relationship, ability, and success in sharing our strengths and inviting collaboration. And so I shall. Come along and learn with me, as we go and grow, as we discover places and people, as we travel from west to east across Canada and back again.
