Crossing Canada With The Maplemusketeer Volume One - An Overview (June 2014) | Page 14

The world is a dynamic place, not a static experience set on repeat. This is both frightening and exciting. This is both challenging and invitational. This is life for the living; little steps at a time. You are incredible. Our world is amazing. Each day, each minute, each moment is unique and fleeting. Every second is rich with possibility and potential. Into this world we are born, we live, and we will die. What do we do with these in-between moments? What is this world really like? Every person I meet has a story, complete with pain, struggles, survival, living, loving, learning–and the trail of beliefs, understanding, and choices, that has led them, us, to where we are. Where are we? Where do we go from here? We go forward in the best of our understanding and ability, to find food, water, shelter, and security; to arrange and organize ourselves as best we’ve been taught, understood, and have discovered. Not in the best ways that ever may be, in those ways yet to come, but in the best ways we can see at this time. Come with me, and let’s explore and meet the awesomeness unfolding, growing, revealing, and undergirding our every days. May this journey challenge you, inspire you, frighten you, invite you, and delight you. And me? A fellow traveller, a sojourner walking awkwardly alongside, sharing stories and songs, an occasional arm and ear of support, and an invitation to what might become. Turn a page, take a step, and...thank you.
