Croatia A privileged location, situated at the crossroads of Western Europe and East Europe, at the foot of the Dinaric Alps, Croatia has on the 3 types of landforms: plains, mountains and coast. The plains are in the mainland. The mountains (present in 6 of the 7 regions of Croatia) cut the country in two from north to south and are present in all regions of the coast. When we see the Croatian coast, it's very cut and dotted with a multitude of islands, there are no fewer than 1,200 islands many of which are still uninhabited and remain in the wild forming some reservations natural protected.
