The sun will, I hope continue to warm both my back and the road beneath my wheels as it has done on so many occasions this summer as I whirl my way through the Norfolk countryside.
Thanks to the gear I wear, the lessons I’ve learnt and the friends I've made, i now look back to that maiden ride on my dads De Rosa with great fondness and pleasure and remember that beyond the loss of dignity from lycra clothing, the vanity of spending my hard earned on over priced kit and the pain i’ve felt in my legs on more occasions than I care to remember, we ride a bicycle for one reason… a sense of joy, like no other that it provides. *
