Having left the Liverpool Competition in 1988, they were champions of the ECB Cheshire County League in 2013 and 2017 and runners-up in 2018. They’ve also won the Cheshire Cup on eight occasions but perhaps their greatest achievement to date was winning the Nat West T20 Club Championship in 2014. Right now Chester Boughton Hall CC feels a great place to be. Always looking to move forward, it’s been a busy close season leading up to what looks like being a great summer. Changes on the field include Rick Moore taking over from Will Owen (former Glamorgan all-rounder) as 1st XI captain. Rick led Cheshire CCC to 50 over success against Devon in 2018. 40 Issue 49 Senior and juniors have netted well and are looking forward to building on runners-up position in the ECB Cheshire County League last year. With four senior Saturday sides (there’s two pitches at the Filkins Lane HQ), two women’s teams and an over 40s XI as well as a large junior section, there’s plenty of cricket to be played.
