Our 3rd and 4th XIs are providing wonderful experiences of competitive league cricket and we remain competitive in each division; junior players are now playing a lead role in these teams as well.” range from 5-16 all training and playing throughout the summer; we have become hugely successful in regional softball tournaments as well as in the North Kent Junior League (hardball matches). 28 Issue 49 “Our junior players are well cared for, we have introduced under 18, 19 and 21 teams to introduce players in to the advanced junior age groups; this has proven to be tremendously successful in terms of widening the experiences of players and in the process meeting other members of the club. Our 3rd and 4th XI captains remain a key point in player development, we welcome them into the adult teams with a view to developing their performances.” Community Youth “Our Junior cricket programme remains our focal point of the club structure. Five years ago, we collectively took the view that if the club was to succeed we would need to produce our own players, support their cricketing journey and transition them in to our adult teams. We were delighted that two fifteen-year-olds represented the 1st XI in 2018 and we believe there will be many more to come. Our plan is that at some point in the future we will have a 1st XI made up from former Bromley CC colts, we believe this a real possibility. We have over 220 junior players, ages Integration This is something that remains high priority for the cricket section, we have developed a reputation for quality within the local area and remain focused on driving this part of the section.” “We are absolutely a community club, we are continually looking for ways to work with local schools to provide positive experiences of sport, this has been a hugely influential in the development of the wider club. The summer months are an opportunity to provide everyone with a positive and healthy lifestyle, as a multi-sports club we can support a wide range of athletic experiences. We welcome new members and local businesses to work with us to develop a club which is capable of providing a supportive and enjoyable environment.”
