romley CC has been working hard during the offseason and
are looking to have a successful season in 2019. Cricket Club
Magazine caught up with their new Chairman of Cricket James
Butterfill to find out more about the work they’ve been doing lately.
Involvement
He told us, “I first joined the club
as a thirteen-year-old (I am now 42)
because of the facilities that were
on offer, my experiences of cricket
grounds up until then were limited
to school playing fields. From the

moment I first saw the ground it felt
like you were playing in a stadium,
it excited me, and I still feel the
same today. Playing for Bromley
Cricket Club has always felt like an
honour to me, I hope that we are still
providing an environment where
young players feel the same.”
The Role
“The biggest issue for cricket
clubs relate to the competition with
other sports, social lives and family
life. The game by nature is long
