It’s ten years since Ian and Jayne Gordon opened
Vitality Dental Practice in Stokesley during which time
the practice has grown to become a thriving Practice
offering a wide range of general dentistry along with
treatment such as implants, root fillings and Periodontal
treatment.
Vitality is a private practice offering a range of
membership plans with the ethos of providing the
treatment patients need at a price they can afford. The
most popular plan costing only £13 per month. Jayne
has established Vitality Face and offers wrinkle relaxants,
fillers and advanced facial treatments from the Practice.
Vitality has just invested in the latest equipment for
pain free removal of deposits and stain using a technique
called guided biofilm therapy. Vitality is more than just
another dental practice – our patients always comment
on our exceptionally friendly staff and team – our aim is
to find solutions and to cater for all our patients’ needs.
Our implant team uses the latest digital techniques
using images obtained from our CT scanner. We are
delighted to have this service provided by two highly
respected and experienced implant dentists, David Veige
and Haytham Abbas who offer a free initial consultation
to assess your suitability for treatment before the need
to commit financially to a thorough exam and treatment
plan.
We accept referrals directly from patients for any of our
advanced treatments with Mike Barnett (Periodontology)
and Mike Turner (Endodontics). General dentists Ian
Gordon, Guy Wells, Claire Abbas and Jane Akhtar are
collectively happy to provide cosmetic and orthodontic
treatment including Invisalign. Finally Vitality, has recently
become a Patron of Teesside Philanthropic Foundation.

be in with a good chance of continuing to progress.
Stokesley CC is not a club to focus solely upon their senior
section however and this is reflected by the fact that they also
have a number of youth sides in place. These teams look to
provide young players from the local area with an opportunity
to play the game in a safe and enjoyable environment whilst
helping them to reach their full potential.
It is important for any club looking to be successful over a
sustained period of time to be able to produce their own talent,
particularly in the current financial climate and this is an area
they appear to have covered. It will certainly be exciting to see
how their youngsters can progress over the coming years.
In order to help make sure that these players enjoy a smooth
transition into the senior game they also run additional sides.
This allows them to gain experience of adult level cricket even if
they are not yet considered ready for first team action which can
be an important step in the development process.
Another benefit of having more than one team is that it
allows them to benefit from far greater strength in depth. If
they are ever left short on numbers through work commitments
they have the option of calling up replacements with a limited
amount of disruption.
There is much to admire about the fine set up that Stokesley
CC currently has in place and this is a reflection of all of the
hard work that goes into the club. If they continue in the same
manner then they should be able to look forward to a bright and
successful future for many years to come.
