CRICKET CLUB
Stokesley CC is based on Broughton Road in Middlesbrough and their
first team currently competes in the Premier Division of the North
Yorkshire and South Durham Cricket League. They are led by the team of
President Chris West and Chairman David Foreman and the club has been
progressing well under their guidance.
Their first team enjoyed a positive campaign in 2018 as
they put together a record of ten wins, three draws and six
defeats from their twenty-two matches with the other three not
reaching a result. This saw them finish in 4th place in the table
with 317 points.
Shrikant Wagh led the way with the bat, scoring a total
of 759 runs at an average of nearly 40. Andrew Weighell also
weighed in with 696 runs whilst fellow Weighell, Jonny, scored
a memorable hundred.

Wagh was also in outstanding form with the ball, taking
68 wickets. He was well supported by Daniel Chillingworth,
Andrew Weighell and Richard Chandler to create a formidable
bowling attack.
The team will now be turning their attentions towards
preparing for the 2019 campaign and their efforts this time
around should provide a solid platform from which to build.
