Claire Lawson of CTL Dental recently
took the time to tell us more about the
work they do in the local community and
in particular their efforts to raise money
for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. She
told us, “We try to do our bit for the local
community and sponsor Richmondshire
CC as well as local sportsman Max
Coates who races in the Clio Cup and
recently came second. We’re also
involved in the ‘Richmondshire in Bloom’
event this year and feel it is important to
support our local area.”
“The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is close
to my heart; obviously, growing up in
a rural area and watching Motorsport
makes it crucial to have them as they
are a lifesaver. My sister actually broke
her back in a riding accident and so we
experienced first-hand just how important
they are and have raised money on a
number of occasions for them and hope
to do so again this time around.
“There are two parts to our fundraising
event; there’s going to be tea and cakes
on offer as a thank you to all of our loyal
patients followed by a fantastic raffle
with lots of prizes to raise money for the
Yorkshire Air Ambulance. After that we’re
doing the CTL Charity Music Night which
involves two or three local music duos
playing.
“Then we have our great friend and
headliner, multi-award winner DJ Rory
Hoy and he’s actually featured on the
BBC Punk and Soul show and has just
released his book, ‘The Little Big Beat
Book’. He opened the Tour de France
Fun Park and he’s also played at Leeds
Festival so it promises to be a great event.
All proceeds from the ticket sales of the
music event are going to the Yorkshire Air
Ambulance so we hope to raise a good
amount for them.

come for a great night of music on the
10th November just call in to the practice
or cricket club, buy tickets and come
along.
I’d just like to say a massive ‘thank you’
to all of our patients for supporting us as
well as our loyal and skilled staff for all
their hard work and hopefully we’ll raise
money for a very worthwhile cause whilst
also having a lot of fun along the way.”
