CC: What do you believe could be some of the biggest challenges the club may face in the coming years? TS: Cricket faces the same challenges as a number of sports. With so much local competition and available leisure activities it is important that cricket stays relevant and continues to produce exciting moments that mean the club can engage with the supporters effectively. CC: What are the club’s ambitions for the next five years? TS: We want to continue developing the region’s young talent and strive for success on the pitch. We will look to build our cricket community and bring more families and children through the door for Durham’s fixtures, while continuing to sell-out England international games.
