TS: We endeavour to be part of the community and
work closely with Durham Council, local clubs and schools
frequently.
CC: What do you believe could be some of the biggest
challenges the club may face in the coming years?
TS: Cricket faces the same challenges as a number of
sports. With so much local competition and available
leisure activities it is important that cricket stays relevant
and continues to produce exciting moments that mean the
club can engage with the supporters effectively.
CC: What are the club’s ambitions for the next five years?
TS: We want to continue developing the region’s young
talent and strive for success on the pitch. We will look to
build our cricket community and bring more families and
children through the door for Durham’s fixtures, while
continuing to sell-out England international games.
