Kriek & Gibson Veterinary Surgery is a full services small
animal veterinary practice treating dogs, cats and other
small pets in Banstead, Surrey and surrounding areas.
This independent, family run practice offers clients and
their pets’ first opinion and advanced veterinary care by
friendly and professional staff within modern state-of-the-
art facilities.
The practice was established in 2013 by local husband
and wife team, Johnny Kriek and Gillian Gibson. Their
genuine quest for knowledge and shared fascination
with veterinary science has led them each to pursue
advanced qualifications.
Johnny enjoys all aspects of small animal practice treating
a vast array of species, and he has extensive experience
in performing more complicated surgical procedures.
He has earned an RCVS Certificate in Small Animal
Surgery and General Practitioner Certificate in Small
Animal Practice.
After working in
general small animal
practice for a few
years, Gillian
undertook 3
years of
advance
post-graduate clinical training and completed the
certification process to achieve the status of a Diplomate
of the American College of Veterinary Internal
Medicine (DipACVIM). She has worked in first opinion
practices, private referral and university hospitals in the
USA and UK, as well as an internal medicine consultant for
veterinary clinical pathology laboratories (national
and international).
Gillian’s main areas of interest
are haematology (blood and coagulation), oncology,
endocrinology and infectious disease.
As pet owners themselves, all the staff at KGVS understand
how important your pet is to you and your family. The
team are passionate about caring for your pets and
dedicated to continuing education to be kept abreast of
the most current and effective diagnostics and treatments
for your pets. All our clients are provided with excellent
service and treated with honesty, clarity and respect.
The practice continues to grow and expand, and we are
excited to be completing building works of our extension
towards the end of December 2018. The new wing will
increase our number of consulting rooms, and provide
separate waiting and treatment areas, surgical theatres
and hospitalisation wards for cats and dogs. In-house
diagnostic capabilities will be expanded with the addition
of laboratory space and procedures room. With the
increased space we will be able to offer additional
specialist services as well as a wider variety of available
appointment times.
We are looking forward to hosting an Open Day in 2019.
