Paul Collingwood
Paul Collingwood called time on his
career at the end of the 2018 season to
bring a close to a fantastic 23 year career.
Throughout that time he has represented
his home county Durham CCC and also
played for England in all three major
formats of the game.
He finished his test career with ten
centuries to his name as well as twenty
half centuries to go alongside a respectable
average of forty. Some of his best moments
for England came in the Twenty20 format
where he captained England to World Cup
glory and he was also a formidable one
day player where he averaged thirty five
with the bat and contributed with ball as
well.
Collingwood can look back on his career
with tremendous pride and is sure to be
remembered fondly by North-eastern fans
of the game in particular.
