We’ve a problem at the moment with corporation tax which
is threatening the club, taking funds which makes it very difficult
to run a successful club. We have a turnover of around £30,000
a year and additional costs can make it very difficult to keep
progressing.”
Ambitions
“Above us there is a Premier Division One and Two but I’m
not certain that it would be beneficial for the club to go up at the
moment. Once you go into these Divisions it becomes necessary
to draft extra players in and that could have an impact on our
identity. If we got to that situation we’d be happy but I’m pleased
with where the club is at the moment and hope to continue
providing cricket for our community.”
