Chairman Richard Hoyle took the time to tell us more about the fine set up that the club currently has in place. Involvement “I am now 55 and have been Chairman of Copley Cricket Club for 10 years. I first joined the Club as a 17 year old having spent a number of years as a junior at another club in the Halifax League. At the time I joined Copley because I had an opportunity to play in the First Team. I finally retired three years ago having played for 35 years – initially in the 1st team and later in the 2nd and Sunday Section teams. The Club has always been friendly and family orientated and, like many cricket clubs, a focus for community life. This aspect of the Club’s culture hasn’t changed during the last 35 years, although the facilities, the membership base and the number
