Estate Agents took the time to tell us more about
their positive association with the club. He said,
“Steve Gooch Estate Agents have four offices and
were thirty years old this year. I think the key to our
success here has been a lot of hard work. We know
the market very well and work with the local people.
“We always try to put back into the community
by supporting local sports clubs, charities and
associations as we feel that that is very important.
I was with Aston Ingham CC when they were first
established as one of the juniors. By coincidence
two of the boundaries at their current home border
my small holding.
“I used to play Saturday, Sunday and mid-week
and then was able to help in rebuilding the new
Pavilion, overseeing the work that was done. We’re
potentially looking to extend it again at some point
and I still play a bit of cricket there although only a
few games a year because I’m very old!
“There’s a very good atmosphere at the club, with
great teams that are doing very well. Hopefully they
will be able to continue the good work over the
coming years as it is a club that truly is at the heart
of the village community.”
they are ever left short on numbers through injury or work
commitments they have the option of calling players up
with a limited amount of disruption.
Over recent years the hard work put into Aston
Ingham CC has really paid dividends on and off the
field with promotions, accolades for their facilities
and hosting the Lashings World XI. Long may it
continue!
