Cricket Club Magazine recently caught up with Club Representative Nigel Muirhead to find out more about how they’ve been getting along lately. Nigel told us, “The mood is very positive at the club at the moment both on and off the pitch. The preparation ahead of the season went very well and although it is unlikely we can win the league we are confident of a strong season at first team level. We may be there or there abouts for the second team and the third team is a very young side playing in the Third Team Premier League with the objective of staying up having been promoted last season.” “The atmosphere is very positive not because we’re at the top of the league winning every game but because we have a good crop of youngsters coming through and have relaunched our academy so that we have a number of good players receiving structured training. We’ve worked hard to provide players with a clear pathway into the senior game 52 Issue 50 and hope that what we provide now helps them to make the transition. “The junior section has nine sides and another thing which has been really brilliant is the success of the All Stars with 110 people signing up this year. There is a real feel good factor about the club with investment going into our facilities having secured a grant from the ECB World Cup initiative. It is very much a family club at Toft and we
