A Call to Action at the Convention
JOHN MARAKIS
A
t the PAA National Convention in Akron, Ohio,
one of the highlights of our meeting was the
resounding show of support for one of our newly
created programs: the PAA 300. During the business meeting, newly elected President John Sargetis
stood up and announced his intention to immediately register for the PAA 300 program. He spoke of
the importance of the program to the PAA’s future
and called upon others to follow his lead. As a result of his inspirational appeal, within 30 minutes
we had 15 new members registered for the PAA 300!
Their commitment and pledge adds $150,000 into
the Scholarship, Philanthropic and Cultural and Educational Funds over the next 10 years! I want to
thank President Sargetis and all of the members of
the PAA 300 for helping to ensure the future of the
PAA. It is not too late for you — or your local chapter
— to register for the PAA 300 program. Please go to
our website: www.pancretan.org for more information and to download a PAA 300 Pledge form (listed
under the “Program” drop-down menu). As always,
feel free to reach out to me and I will be happy to
answer any questions you may have. K
