the former Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis spoke to us

and the great ideals and struggles that brought the Union of

On the occasion of your selection for the Venizelos
Award by the PAA, what does this award mean to
you and what message would you like to send to the
Cretans of America and the Greek Diaspora in general?
This award is a great honor for me as a person, Cretan and
Greek politician who, for a time, handled the foreign policy
of Greece. The award comes from the Cretans abroad, who
evaluate from their international perspective the presence
of Greece in a better way than we do domestically. The
