Resisting the Crisis THEODOROS KATERINAKIS Drexel’s Greek Studies Showcases Greek Businesses Competing in Global Markets and Energizing Local Economies T heodoros Katerinakis, a PhD candidate in culture and communication, and adjunct faculty in the Greek Studies program at Drexel University, and his students offer insights into some Greek companies that are doing well despite the current economic crisis. The founders and CEOs of some of these Greek companies, including Gramvousa Ballos Cruises, Cretan Herbal Chem 25A, and the Manna Group, bakery Tsatsaronakis, which have been previously highlighted in KPHTH magazine, shared their business model, competitive strategy and managerial philosophy with Katerinakis and his students during the Drexel Mediterranean Economy Class, a combined initiative of the LeBow School of Business and Greek Studies Program. Students also visited their headquarters and were offered internships during the Drexel Abroad Greece. The following businesses were also analyzed by Katerinakis and his students.
