you can download this outline. Until then, you may email Maria Vamvakis or me and we will be happy to email or mail you a packet. Audio and visual media also help capture the spirit of what it means to be Cretan. This was clearly evidenced by all the attention given in Akron of the media display and videos of the youth experience in 1993 on the Odyssey excursion. We have begun interviewing notable members of our Cretan community as well. Most recently, we interviewed several former PAA and PYA presidents. These interviews will contribute to enhancing the legacy of our former presidents and their perspectives on their journeys to president and their vision of our future. We welcome any and all videos you may have of PAA events, particularly of conventions, to add to our collection. During the 43rd National Convention in Akron, Ohio, the first of its kind exhibit of archival material was put
Demosthenis Voskakis, including his complete rare Cretan costume with its adornments was on display. Local items featured included the history of the Akron chapter, artifacts and photos from nearby chapters, a display from the nearby Packard Museum with the Packard automobile that Eleftherios Venizelos rode in during an assassination attempt and the actual Soapbox Derby car of Stephanie Inglezakis from North Summit, Ohio, who, at 16 not only built the car, but went on to win the 2005 Masters title. This inaugural occasion of bringing the PAA archives to our members was made possible with the cooperation of the PAA archives committee as well as the local convention archive coordinator Renee Saviolis. A special thanks to the many people who collectively contributed to the success of this exhibit to make this room the talk of the convention. We are already work-

In conjunction with Cretan Alumni Network Chair, Diane Kounalakis, the PAA archives committee shared a room that also facilitated two reunions: the Odyssey Excursion Reunion from 1993 and the founding members of the Pancretan Youth of America from the 1940s. John Feotis played an integral part in providing timelines and a history of that group. A special room displayed archives from these events, including photos and videos, which were open to our members throughout the convention week. Other material on display included several wide-angle photos taken at picnics and conventions from the 1920s, 30s and 40s, national PAA constitutions dating back to 1929, KPHTH magazines and convention albums, handmade textiles, and a special exhibit sent directly from Greece depicting the 100th anniversary o bF?RV??f?6F????b7&WFRv?F?w&VV6R?6???WFR?B&&R6???V7F???g&?????r?F??R?V?&W"?B66???6?VB&?fW76????F?6W ????rv?F?F?R6?B??R6?G??&v???r6???GFVRF?V???6RF??2W???&?BB?W"?W?B6??fV?F?????#R?vR????f?'v&BF?v?&???rv?F????W"?V?&W'2F?6??F??VRF?FB??F?F?RG&V7W&W2?b?W"7B?v??6?&Vf?V7G2??rvR&Vv??Bv?W&RvR&R?VFVB??$4??dU24???EDTP??W&6???f?F??( 2W&6????6??WFW"F?2?GF?46??67B??WB??'?f6????2??F?&????6??V??VV?V???GB?V?TvV?6?"?6???&?f?f??2??f?f??4?????6??vV?&vRG6?WG6?V???2?wG6?WG4v????6??F???G6?V???2?7&WFv?&??????6???&?7G&F?VF??2???W&??W4??F????6??F??R??V????2???V????46??67B??WB??F?7G&?7Bv?fW&??'0???D??uur??5$UD???$rP??
