EMS 110 – EMT Basic

The Emergency Medical Science curriculum is designed to prepare graduates to enter the workforce as paramedics . Additionally , this course is designed to provide training for individuals desiring to enter EMT-Paramedics .

FIP 120 – Introduction to Fire Protection

All courses are offered for 6 weeks each . Courses are held Monday-Friday ; 1:50 – 2:50 pm

All courses are offered for 6 weeks each . Courses are held Monday-Friday ; 1:50 – 2:50 pm .

Fire Protection courses are offered on the campus of Cleveland Community College . Transportation is NOT provided by the high school or Cleveland Community College . Students who complete all six courses are eligible to earn the Fire Protection Technology certificate ( C55240P ). The Fire Protection Technology certificate is designed to provide knowledge of the fire service and its infrastructure . This program will focus on developing a sound foundation and understanding of the history of the fire service , public education , fire service building construction , introduction to wildland firefighting , fire sprinklers and auto alarms , and fire protection law . This certificate will not meet any of the requirements for State Certification as a firefighter . All certificate courses are creditable toward the Associate in Applied Science degree in Fire Protection Technology .
