The Emergency Medical Science curriculum is designed to prepare graduates to enter the workforce as paramedics. Additionally, this course is designed to provide training for individuals desiring to enter EMT-Paramedics.

Fire Protection courses are offered on the campus of Cleveland Community College. Transportation is NOT provided by the high school or Cleveland Community College. Students who complete all six courses are eligible to earn the Fire Protection Technology certificate( C55240P). The Fire Protection Technology certificate is designed to provide knowledge of the fire service and its infrastructure. This program will focus on developing a sound foundation and understanding of the history of the fire service, public education, fire service building construction, introduction to wildland firefighting, fire sprinklers and auto alarms, and fire protection law. This certificate will not meet any of the requirements for State Certification as a firefighter. All certificate courses are creditable toward the Associate in Applied Science degree in Fire Protection Technology.
