High School is a rewarding experience; proper planning will make it even more enjoyable. We look forward to helping you prepare for your future.
Registration Process
Returning students register for classes during the spring semester. Crest High School operates on a 4x4 block schedule. Thus, students will register for eight total classes( four each semester). Schedules are mailed to students prior to the beginning of school. Rising 9 th graders register during their 8 th grade school year. During the registration process, each student will be able to select 8 courses, with 2-3 alternates. This allows students to be able to receive the courses that they are most interested in. Therefore, this minimizes a high volume of schedule changes throughout the school year. Any request for schedule changes will only be offered during the summer with a deadline determined by the administrator. Schedule changes requested after the deadline has been closed will have to be approved by administration. Not all requests for changes will be granted; schedule changes will only be made for a schedule error or a full class.
Charger CORRAL
Charger CORRAL( Charger Opting for Resources, Relationships, Accountability and Leadership) is scheduled time during the instructional day to meet the individual needs of students to ensure academic success. Available during this time is extra tutoring with teachers, access to books and resources in the media center, the opportunity to use computers and the internet for assignments, access to counselors for guidance, etc.
