Learn how to paint what you see in its simplest form , recognise a good subject and translate it into a compelling watercolour . Develop simple watercolour techniques in a way that is both practical and inspirational . All aspects will be covered , from the initial idea and sketch to the finished work .

Experimenting with Arts & Crafts
An opportunity to experiment with a variety of arts and crafts to get a flavour of one you may wish to pursue in the future . Felting , printing , clay , acrylic painting and drawing . We will spend a few weeks on each medium to experiment , learn techniques and allow for your own direction . Creating a finished product in your favourite medium . Examples of finished products could be a felted picture , a printed canvas bag , a clay bowl , a painting or pencil sketch .

Drawing : Still Life & Model
Taking as its main focus ' Still Life ', this course uniquely will include some sessions with a model . We will explore composition , tone , perspective , balance and mood through the arrangement and study of everyday , random or ' significant ' objects . Sessions with a model will include still life aspects . There will be opportunity throughout to refer to a variety of artists ' work to complement elements of this course . Suitable for beginners and those with some experience .
