Caitlin Volkmann is a freshman on Silver Creek’s girls basketball team. Volkmann also was a part of the volleyball team last fall. When asked who her role model is, a name popped in her head right away: “ Kayla Noble would be my role model. She's a real leader on the court and one off the court.” When asked if the girls would make it to the state tournament she was confident in her answer, “I believe will make the tournament and find some juice to make a run.” Caitlin is the only freshman on the varsity team and hopes for a successful end of her first season and for the seasons to come. Trent Dykema is a Junior on Silver Creek’s boys basketball team. The dynamic scorer is a multi-sport athlete, also participating on the track and field team. Dykema is the leading scorer for the raptors and has been on varsity all three years of his high school career. Silver Creek has had amazing regular season, going 20-3. “We don't have to worry about really anything, we gell super well together”, said Dykema, “we've won more games than the past two seasons and were not done yet.” Photo: BOCOPREPS
