Provident Fund
As is customary our Provident Fund Committee administered and made recommendations to the Board in giving support
to genuine and deserving cases among our membership. In 2013, donations in the amount of $27K were made for medical
emergencies and for Christmas hampers to the needy and shut-ins. The Committee, under the chairmanship of Sis. Gloria PayneBanfield, has worked diligently to serve the cause of our members and for this we are grateful.

Scholarship Programs
2.7.1 Blue Ribbon Award (New)
For the first time in 2013, the GPSCCU recognized the member of the Education Savings Plan who excelled in performance at the
Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment .This scholarship was awarded to the saver in the credit union’s Education Savings Plan with
highest score in CPEA each year. The Blue Ribbon Award was presented to Peter Mc Burnie who placed 8th in the CPEA and who
currently attends the Presentation Brothers College.

2.7.2 Brighter Futures Scholarship (New)
The GPSCCU Brighter Futures Scholarship was awarded for the first time to T. A. Marryshow Community College Students, Candice
Blache (Grenville), and Danielle Joseph. This scholarship would provide them with tuition to the tertiary institution for the next
two years.
