Creativity is valued through results, because this is the way
to see what it is to be unique, as others observe beautiful
creations of color, the form and innovation that arises
when being creative in everyday situations or in problem
solving.
The relationship between creativity and intelligence has been
studied and it has been defended for a long time that there is
a correlation between the two, but it is not so for the
following reasons:
It would seem more likely that creative individuals were given
among people with a high IQ than among people with a low
IQ, but not all intelligent subjects are creative.
One belief suggests that left-handers, whose right cerebral
hemisphere, is usually more developed, are more intelligent
or creative than right-handed people, although there is an
unsolved debate within the scientific community on how to
relate intelligence to creativity. Some studies have shown that
there is a small correlation between lefties and creativity-
intelligence. Various examples can be seen in the left-handed
article, in famous left-handers.
Currently, creativity and intelligence are considered quite
different mental abilities. Intelligence, as seen in the
traditional tests that evaluate it, can be considered as
convergent thinking, as the ability to follow accepted thinking
patterns and provide correct solutions to a given problem.
And it is said that most current intelligence tests primarily
measure the faculties and activity of the left cerebral
hemisphere.
The difference in competences between the two cerebral
hemispheres seems to be an exclusive characteristic of the
human being.
