In the studies that were conducted they used every thing from high to low caliber rounds and the results were mostly the same. Almost every time it resulted in the ineffectiveness of that shot and a disappointment for the person that tries to hit the animal they were hunting. It was found that grass had less effect than brush, but the results were very inconsistent.

The shots either hit their target with full effect or completely and utterly missed the target.

So in most situations it is either wait for a completely clear shot, or risk missing and scaring away your target, or only hitting him with a little impact Then needing to chase him for miles until he actually drops. So to answer my question from the begging of this report, yes it is very necessary to wait for a clear shot even if it means that one gets away.
