This little chair has a lot of patience. I had found it quite a while back and knew
it would eventually be made new and find a home in my kitchen.
It has the sweetest lines!
When finding a chair at a thrift store or garage sale
the most important thing is to note whether it is sturdy.
This little chair is very well built and the
joints are wonderfully strong. It just needed a facelift.
I thought at first I’d paint it red, but then changed my mind.
Who knows, she may become red in another life!
I wanted a brighter color with a slight patina.
So I chose an old white and added some patina
with glazed burnt amber and crackle glaze. LOVE that stuff!
I also wanted to use the wonderful French grainsack pictured above for fabric
My little chair is looking at home now by the desk. Now back to more projects. While I’ve got the paint out there are a couple of other things I wanted to work on.
Love creative moments on beautiful days!
