“ With the launch of my new line of Skincare and Cosmetics in 2013 , another dream was finally achieved , with some truly wonderful products specifically designed for makeup artists , something that I will be rolling out to the public in the not too distant future . One of my most recent and proudest roles is back in the fashion industry and that of Creative Director for one of New York Fashion Weeks largest shows . After landing the role in 2014 I now fly across the pond twice a year for fashion week season and run the backstage department with an Artistic Team of 100 strong during one of the most high profile ( and high pressured !) fashion events in the world . I thoroughly enjoy this development in my professional career as I get to design the hair and makeup looks , liasing with over 25 designers from all over the world , then create the video tutorials to train the artistic team from over here in the UK , then on the day , although I don ’ t get to do much actual Hair & Makeup , I get to see my designs come to life with my awesome US team , and get my adrenaline junkie buttons pushed with my role dealing with designers , models and artists with incredibly tight time constraints to make sure everyone is in the right place at the right time and with the right looks ! I just love it ! With the addition of my training Academy for public masterclasses and professional academy workshops now underway , I am really excited to be developing my team of experts into fantastic tutors so that we can bring on the next generation of budding Mua ’ s & Stylists . I ’ m even going to be holding a large scale Hair & Makeup seminar over in New York during Fashion Week in September 2017 , with further plans for workshops and US training sessions from 2018 For the past 2 years I have felt the need to use my skills and contacts to do something truly good , and so have set up an annual fundraising event ( The infamous Peru Trek was in 2013 and 2014 saw me completing a marathon in the middle of the night – in my bra !) 2015 saw the startup of my very own socially focussed ‘ Alternative Fashion Fest ’ show , in 2016 we grew and grew into a team of 95 artists , models , performers and tech professionals , raising funds and awareness for Anti-bullying and anti-hate crime charities while promoting diversity , self esteem and positive body image with loads more planned for the future ! I ’ m even planning a 24 hour ‘ Glammathon ’ for this year with all proceeds going towards a cause in need . In my 21 year career as a Makeup Artist , Stylist and businesswoman , I ’ ve made some bad decisions , taken lots of risks and faced a lot of tough calls , but I ’ ve also made some great decisions , achieved growth , become an award winner and an entrepreneur , achieving everything that 17 year old girl dreamed about ……………… and this is just the beginning ”
