for Northland
Advertisers

Northland
businesses
are
stepping up their marketing
game and it’s about time says
Donna Feaver from Giggle
Entertainment Network.
Donna sells digital out of home
advertising
to
Whangarei
businesses on a regular basis.
She says that while businesses
used to see value in advertising
in just using print media, they
are now resorting to more
interactive options.
“More and more business
owners are using their websites
to bring in leads,” she says.
It’s taken a long time for
Northlanders to realise how
important analytics are, says
Donna.
“They now know that if they
have an ad pointing to a
website, they will be able to tell
how many people viewed that
page.”
Giggle Entertainment Network
hosts 55 televisions in different
locations across Whangarei.
“You’ve probably seen the
ones flashing funny jokes while
you’re waiting in line at the
cafe,” says Donna.
Amongst
the
humorous
content,
businesses
can
place their 10-15 second
advertisements which then
play every hour at staggered
intervals across town.
“This year we’ve had a lot more
people become aware of their
brand presence,” says Donna.
“Little and often seems to be
the way to go.”
Although she doesn’t discount
other avenues of advertising.
“I believe that with a sound
marketing strategy, you should
use a range of options to
get your brand on different
advertising mediums. Giggle
Entertainment
Network
complements
everything
really!”
Donna Feaver has owned the
Northland franchise of Giggle
Entertainment Network since
late 2015. The brand work on
the theory that there is too
much bad news in the world,
and businesses pay too much
for advertising.
She says the most rewarding
part of the job is being able to
mix humour and advertising.
“They’re not usually two things
you put together but when our
ads work so effectively, it’s
hard not to get excited!”
