In 2013 , GLP Music was planning an album of traditional Spanish children ’ s songs as an aid to learning Spanish . The album would include a 24-page illustrated booklet with the Spanish lyrics and English translations , as well as cultural notes to enhance the learning process , but they knew they could not reach their goals unless the music was world class and the graphic art exciting enough to appeal to kids . To create the album , they brought together Colombian singer / songwriter Marta Gomez , graphic artist Daniela Violi and an A Team of Latin American musicians . The result was Coloreando : Traditional Songs for Children in Spanish . How did it do ? It won the Latin Grammy for Best Children ’ s Album in 2014 . GLP did a follow-up album , Coloreando Dos , and that album won the Parents ’ Choice Gold Award . The two CDs are now available in the 2-disc set Coloreando & Coloreando Dos , which Creative Child Magazine has just named 2020 CD of the Year . In November , GLP is releasing a 48-page coloring book , Coloreando La Alegría : Coloring the Joy , inspired by the Coloreando music and designed to encourage kids to stretch their imaginations while enjoying and learning more than 30 traditional Spanish children ’ s songs in the Coloreando collection .
