a Great Mother ’ s Day Card Alternative
One of my most cherished gifts from preschool continues to be a fill-in-theblank questionnaire I ’ ve received every mother ’ s day and that my husband has received every father ’ s day . The answers are as insightful as they are hilarious and heart-warming . I love that my daughter thinks that I ’ m 16 , for instance , that my height is 10 feet tall , and that the one thing I always tell her is “ patpat ” ( she has eczema so we encourage her to pat instead of scratch ). Kids don ’ t always know how to express themselves when given a blank canvas so this fill-in the-blank questionnaire has a much more effective way of getting kids to reveal their perspective and affections for their moms and mother figures in their lives .
