Cotton Ball Crafts Cotton balls reach their fullest potential in the winter months because they are so great for winter crafts . Try making snowman or penguin cotton ball crafts by cutting out the figure of a snowman and penguin from construction paper . Give your child glue and cotton balls and let them cover the whole snowman and the penguin ’ s face and belly with them . Then use construction paper to cut out beaks , noses , and buttons to decorate .
Winter Tree Finger Painting Brought to you by Easy , Peasy , and Fun , this little craft will get those artsy fingers going ! On a piece of blue construction paper , draw a bare tree ( or use construction paper to cut out a tree shape and glue it onto the blue paper ). Then let your child dip their fingers in white paint to create the snow that has fallen all over the tree and onto the ground ! So simple but so much fun for little ones !
Taste-Safe Ice Painting Painting with colored ice is a great way to explore color mixing . You ’ ll need small containers - empty yogurt containers work well . Fill with water and add a few drops of food coloring . Then add a popsicle stick and freeze for a couple hours . Once frozen , pop them out of the container ( you might need to run warm water over them if you ’ re having trouble getting them out ) and paint on thick white cardstock . I hope you enjoy these activities with your little one ! •
