Affirmations Garland Craft
Now that you know the science behind affirmations and have 25 to start with , here is a fun Valentine ’ s Day craft to do with your little one . You ’ ll need :
• Yarn or string
• Hole punch
• Cardstock in “ love ” colors
• Tape or putty adhesive
Instructions : ( These are all good fine motor activities for your child , so let them do as much of this as they are able )
1 . Using cardstock , draw and cut out one heart to use a template for all the hearts .
2 . Trace the heart multiple times on various shades of cardstock .
3 . Cut out the hearts .
4 . Punch holes in the top left and right corners of each heart .
5 . Cut an arm length of yarn and thread the hearts onto the yarn .
6 . One each heart , write an affirmation .
7 . Hang in your child ’ s room for a beautiful and inspiring holiday decoration .
