Juried Student Exhibition
Always a favorite , this juried showcase features undergraduate student work that reflects the contemporary pulse in art making of northeast Florida . The eclectic exhibition consists of a variety of media , including animation , ceramics , computer-generated images , drawings , film , glass art , graphic design , paintings , photographs , prints , and sculptural objects . Awards are given for outstanding work .

Masterwork Series Concert Jacksonville University Wind Ensemble and First Coast Wind Symphony Joint Concert
The Jacksonville University Wind Ensemble and the First Coast Wind Symphony combine forces to feature the Symphonic Dances of Japanese composer Yosuke Fukuda . Guest composer Robert Sheldon will conduct the premiere of his new work Incandescent Sky .

JCC Honor Choir Festival
Jacksonville University ’ s choral ensembles partner with the Jacksonville Children ’ s Chorus to honor local students who have been recognized by their music educators for their singing ability , musical aptitude and strong work ethic . Led by guest clinicians Lynnel Joy Jenkins and Robyn Reeves Lana , the day will culminate in a collaborative performance open to the public .

Come and enjoy an evening of music for chamber orchestra from Germany to France to England ! Featured will be Impressionist composer Claude Debussy ’ s Danses Sacrée et Profane and British composer Frank Bridge ’ s Suite for Strings .

Ghost of Jacksonville University Write-A-Thon
At the Literature , Language , and Culture Department ’ s 5th Annual Ghost of JU Write-a-thon , three students will be writing for fifteen minutes at a time about the Ghost of JU . Students build on each other ’ s stories , sending the Ghost of JU to the playing field , the performing stage , or the cafeteria . There will also be food and games . Students procure sponsors for this event to support local and international charities . Last year ’ s proceeds were raised to benefit the Literacy Foundation of Northeast Florida and Art Creation Foundation for Children . Scores of students from across campus participate in this festive event .
