I never thought I’d say this but by golly it’s hard being a business owner, especially when you are juggling different issues in life. I’ve had the opportunity of putting my second yearly trunk show this year, probably the hardest that I’ve ever put on, yet I’m glad it went the way it did. The lesson this time was never to stop learning. Just because I did it last year a certain way doesn’t mean that it would have gone the same way this year. Comparing the two, I see a growing organization culminating into bigger responsibilities.
I’m grateful for the mistakes I’ve made, for with mistakes I’ve become a better human being. I’m grateful for the mishaps, for with them my brain thinks differently. I’m also grateful for the pain, it reminded me that nothing should be taken for granted in this world.
This issue is about conquering the hardest times, I am humbled to say that I am proud of the stories you are about to read. A woman is indeed the backbone of a society, we are strong and deserve nothing but the best. I have thought of dedicating this issue to all the strong women who have ever survived or conquered a tough situation in their life. Know that your willingness to fight and your triumph is admirable and should be applauded.
Happy reading!
