The planet is hurting. This will probably mark a moment in history that none of us will ever forget. The globe must live through a pandemic caused by the Corona Virus. It has ravaged China, Italy, France and now has reached the U.S. and it doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon.
Though we didn’t get the chance to launch the magazine in Los Angeles California as planned, we are still thankful for all the support that we’ve received leading up to this date. Extending a special THANK YOU to Jean-Philippe Beaulieu who helped us navigate around the city and without whom we would not have had made such beautiful acquaintances. We will undeniably reschedule our launch at a later date once everything clears and are still excited about meeting our supporters in L.A.
We’ve had the privilege of getting to know an amazing woman, an Executive Producer in the world of Hollywood films, Dominique Telson. A true role model for young women everywhere, she is the epitome of #womenwinning in a man’s world.
During our initial trip to the beautiful city of L.A. We’ve visited IV Gallery, the current home of the work of Jaz Harold, a visual artist from New York, making headlines in the East and West coasts. We’ve caught up with Naïka, whose voice is unforgettable and visited Galerie Lakaye, a hidden gem of a gallery which showcases Haitian Artists not only from their community but also from around the world.
We had so much fun getting to know everyone that we couldn’t wait to get things in motion. I would also like to take this time and thank the new addition to our growing team, Jimmy Moise, our Marketing Executive Director who spearheaded this whole ordeal. This could not have happened without you and we are blessed to have you.
In addition to all this excitement, we’ve featured new discovered photographers and artists from the other side of the hemisphere that I think you’ll enjoy. To our writers and contributors, we thank you. You have surpassed our expectations in this issue, so without further ado, raise your glass to ISSUE #37! Enjoy!
