EDITOR'S LETTER
can’t believe we are already on our 10th issue! It feels like we started
this magazine an eternity ago. The original purpose behind the
magazine was to promote women in the arts, women doing marvelous things in the name of solidarity. However as the magazine evolved, the vision was realized on a far grander scale. As the popularity of your magazine grew, we came to a point where a name change was necessary. Thus was the name changed to CREATIV [MODERN BOHEMIAN MAGAZINE] a magazine whose mission was to highlight artists in general and not only focus on women. Talented Men and Women are taking the world by storm and it’s definitely a privilege for us to use these pages to promote the individuals who are certainly making an impact.
As you can see, this issue is jam packed. The last few months certainly have been eventful for us here at CREATIV. Our calendars were filled with events from Funkshion Fashion Week to RAW’s famous bi-monthly event GLIMPSE. We even found the time to sit with an upcoming artist who is about to take the music industry by storm. The icing on the cake was including celebrities who were spotted at Funkshion. I won’t tell you who, you’ll have to read the magazine to find out. I know that every issue exudes nothing but joy and pride, knowing that we have surpassed ourselves. In regards to this, our 10th issue, I have no words to describe all these wonderful emotions that i’m feeling all at once..
I would also like to take a moment to thank my loyal contributors, as well as welcome my new ones. YOU made this magazine what is today. You believed in a project that can only grow from here. Your work is being noticed here in the US and has also crossed the globe into the UK. It’s indeed a great feeling to know our magazine is traveling internationally. My promise is that I will never stop working for what I love, nor should you. It has been a wonderful journey so far and I can’t wait to see what else the future holds for this magazine. We will continue to give a voice to the wonderful artists who are making an impact in their community. The world needs to know about these heroes and we will be front and center to bring you all the action.
