I rarely watch news and never watch horror movies.
Tragic or scary imagery can haunt me for years. I also
get a lot of inspiration from fine art and historical
movements, such as romanticism. These inspirations,
as well as nature, positive emotions, and healing arts,
bring more knowledge and more spontaneity into my
work.
CG: What about the idea that creation always comes
from chaos?
Anna: Yes, true beauty and rebirth come from chaos.
Pablo Picasso once said, “Every act of creation is first
an act of destruction”. You have to deconstruct things
literally or in your head to be able to create something
new, to make people think in a new direction. Most
people are too lazy or busy to break their habitual
patterns to ever experience this.
CG: Do you have your own signature style?
Anna: I love working with photographic abstracts by
creating visual ambiguity and cerebral messages
within the body. I feel ignited by complexity – I’m
attracted to it – which is reflected in my personal
work. I was told my art subjects look like angels. I
would agree to that. I want to inspire people,
especially women, to become better versions of
themselves. Become a work of art within your mind
and stop idolizing models or anyone who you think is
better than you. Invest in yourself financially and
energetically, and you will see the results appearing.
