Brookside promotes and sustains excellence in teaching. We encourage faculty to embrace innovative thinking and new technologies in all that we do. Over 80% of the Brookside faculty attended offerings during the Schiller Summer Institute for Teachers.
We work collaboratively to strengthen our community and promote environmental stewardship. In 2018-2019, Brookside won again the Michigan Green Schools Award presented at the the Detroit Zoo.
Brookside 3rd graders conducted a food drive to raise funds for Gleaners Food Bank via their Empty Bowls art and classroom project.
