Craft Custom Intro | Care Instructions
Care instructions
To keep your Craft functional sportswear in great shape for a long time, it is important that it is well cared for. We advise the following to ensure a long lifespan of our high-quality fabrics, printing technology, and processing.
- Before use, we recommend washing the clothing by hand in cold water with a dash of cleaning vinegar to neutralize the inks so that they no longer bleed.- Always follow the washing instructions as stated in the item. And very important, DO NOT use fabric softener when washing functional sportswear. The fabric softener forms a thin layer around the fibers, which reduces the functionality of the fabric( moisture transport, ventilation and, if present, water / wind repellent properties).- Wash separately, not at temperatures above 30 degrees and preferably by hand as much as possible. Machine washing causes increased wear and fading of the colors. If you still want to wash in the machine, most machines have a special program for sportswear. The laundry is spun less hard, so that the shape of the clothing is better retained. Use mild detergents and avoid fabric softener and bleach.- Wash inside out. Close the zippers and Velcro when you wash the clothes to prevent them from damaging the garment. Items with zippers and / or Velcro should preferably be washed in a laundry bag.- Do not tumble dry. The elastic components cannot withstand the heat and will break off. Only allow the clothing to dry naturally and keep in mind that direct sunlight and heat can damage the fabrics.- When hanging, be careful that the clothing does not stretch too much and lose its shape.- Do not iron our products.
Use and general advice
- Do not put on our bib tights and bib shorts by stretching the suspenders or putting pressure on the stitches. Tighten carefully, section by section.- Be careful when using saddles with embroidery / decorations. This can cause pilling. Such problems are not covered by the warranty.
Avoid deterioration of the quality of the fabrics
- Don’ t leave your sportswear in the laundry basket- wash them immediately after use. Perspiration can affect the color and fabric, making it thin and less elastic.- It is better not to leave your sportswear in damp places or in plastic bags. Have the clothes become very dirty? Then use a detergent specifically for sportswear, which also combats unpleasant odors and is kind to the clothes.- You can also soak it overnight in cold water with a dash of cleaning vinegar, Biotex, green soap or Vanish. Do not clean the clothes with a brush, this causes pilling and damage to the fabric.- Massage creams or massage oils combined with sweat can damage the fabrics.- Applying creams to pads causes damage.- Avoid contact with Velcro fasteners as this can cause pilling.- Wearing backpacks can cause friction and therefore damage the fabrics.
