Fred Bueltmann , aka “ The Beervangelist ,” is writing his next book , This Craft Nation , a cross-country storytelling quest into the heart of the makers movement & craft renaissance . His TCN Podcast shares interviews and conversations from the project . Fred espouses on cooking , pairing and enjoying beer and food seasonally in his book , The Beervangelist ’ s Guide to the Galaxy . His beer-soaked essay , The Great American Smoker , was the winner of the 2017 GonzoFest Literary Contest . After twenty-plus years as an executive in the beverage industry , Fred is embarking on a new path as a freelance consultant on company culture and craft ideals . He enjoys life on his farm in Fennville , MI with his wife Ulla , and their charming herd of critters .
Nicole Cassese

Originally from the East Coast , Nicole now calls Los Angeles home and is the copy editor of Disney Interactive , where she oversees media and blog content . When she ’ s not there or playing with her popular Instagram cat @ lordpizzasmoosh , she ’ s writing , enjoying local culinary delights , traveling and spending time with her most favorite people — cooking , concocting , and crafting . She also sings and is looking forward to a home recording space soon for further fun and experimentation .
Jerry Gnagy

Jerry Gnagy started brewing beer in grade school at the age of 6 and learned quickly that he was slightly better than mediocre . During his formative years at Adams College , he won the big tricycle race with his fraternity Lambda Lambda Lambda propelling them over the Alpha Betas , thereby taking control of the Greek Council . Unfortunately , he blew out his Vitoglannis on the last lap and was forced to start Against the Grain Brewery which was the only career path where he could utilize his 5th-grade fart-joke skillset .
Craig Johnstone

Craig Johnstone has recently returned to his Scottish hometown after a 2-year stint as distillery manager at Lark Distillery in Tasmania . Before that , he was buying and selling whisky in the Middle East , traveling the world with Bruichladdich , chairing the Scotch Malt Whisky Society tasting panel , and traveling Canada with The Macallan and Highland Park . His whisky career started on his 18th birthday as a tour guide at Glenkinchie Distillery where he tried his first dram and started his Whisky Adventure . He plans to open his own distillery . Ann Marshall

A graduate of Duke University , Ann Marshall built a career out of marketing natural products for some of the most creative companies in the industry , most notably Immaculate Baking Co . where she served as Director of Marketing . In 2013 , Marshall co-founded High Wire Distilling Company alongside her husband , Scott Blackwell . The first operating distillery in Charleston since Prohibition , High Wire produces regionally inspired , small batch spirits made with carefully sourced ingredients . Ann and Scott were named as semi-finalists for the James Beard Foundation award for Outstanding Wine Beer or Spirits Professional in 2017 and 2018 .
