But equipping went far beyond business strategies and educational sessions. Perhaps the most powerful moments of the weekend happened in quieter corners— hallway conversations, shared meals and spontaneous prayers. Many attendees arrived carrying personal burdens from home: family struggles, business pressures and the weight of uncertainty. In those moments, the CPE community stepped in— not just as colleagues, but as encouragers. People listened, prayed together and reminded one another that they were not alone. That kind of support is not something you can schedule on an agenda, yet it remains one of the most lasting impacts of the event. Attendees left with more than new ideas and resources; they left with renewed strength to face the challenges waiting for them back home.
Of course, the week was not without its hurdles. The East Coast storm eventually made its way to Florida, bringing with it a series of unexpected complications. Food deliveries were delayed, pipes burst under the strain of freezing temperatures( a rare and unwelcome phenomenon in the Sunshine State), and shuttle services experienced breakdowns. Under different circumstances, these disruptions might have overshadowed the event.
Instead, they became part of the story— a reminder that even when our plans shift, God’ s purpose remains steady.
Time and again, the response was the same: flexibility, patience and a willingness to support one another. It was a living example of the very message being shared from the stage. When people unite with a shared mission, challenges don’ t disappear— but they are met differently. They are met with grace, teamwork and a sense of trust that everything will come together as it should.
As the event came to a close, there was a clear sense that something meaningful had taken place. It was a successful show in a broader sense of the term. It was a gathering that strengthened relationships, sparked new ideas and reminded everyone involved of the deeper purpose behind what they do.
Looking ahead, excitement is already building for the next chapter. The upcoming summer show will take place in historic St. Charles, Missouri— a setting that promises its own unique charm and opportunities for connection. And beyond that, there’ s more news to come about where CPE will head next winter.
