“ CPE is key to renewing my vision for our store. No one understands Christian retail like another Christian retailer! Being able to share stories, pray for each other and show each other new things is invaluable!”
giving retailers opportunities to meet the people behind the books they sell and hear firsthand the stories and ministry behind their work. Those connections can extend well beyond the show floor, leading to book signings, promotions and other opportunities that help stores connect authors with readers.
Better Together
One of the strongest messages coming out of CPE Summer 2026 was simply this: Christian retailers are better when they are connected.
Whether conversations happened during a breakout session, over lunch, across an exhibitor table or between longtime friends in the hallway, there was a genuine sense of community throughout the show.
Independent Christian retailers face many of the same challenges, but they also possess an extraordinary willingness to share ideas and encourage one another. CPE provides a place where those relationships can grow, and it provides time to reconnect stores with their purpose and with others who understand the unique calling of Christian retail.
