As a representative of the Midwest IEA Chapter, Daniel Potter joined the American Lung Association in Illinois for Advocacy Day at the State Capitol in Springfield on Wednesday, April 30. Alongside fellow advocates, he met with lawmakers to support a modest tax increase on tobacco products
and to urge continued funding for critical
lung cancer awareness and prevention
programs in the upcoming state
budget. During the House session,
Representative Camille Y. Lilly
acknowledged the group’s

and offered kind words about
their advocacy efforts.
