CR3 News Magazine 2023 VOL 1: JANUARY -- RADON REIMAGINED | Page 7

National Radon Action Month

This is certainly evident in those who have encountered the wrath of radioactive radon gas exposure resulting in lung cancer.  Shedding masks and revealing our humanity sometimes brings tears to eyes, as we take every opportunity to heal others and prevent suffering.  By participating in conversations, we help others who are afraid and need to be reassured, encouraged, and loved.

January is National Radon Action Month, which is another time to accentuate the importance of testing homes, schools, and workplaces for this invisible demon— radioactive radon gas--that may be intruding upon our environments.  So as someone who was surprised to find that the radon level in my house was very elevated and very possibly caused and/or contributed to my husband’s death from lung cancer, I urge everyone to take the time to test; and if the

radon level is elevated, get a certified/qualified radon mitigation professional to install a radon system that could possibly save your life and the lives of those you love.
