Inspiration

Appealing to legislators or others in authority with influential, factual, and persuasive accounts of the importance of action against radioactive radon gas exposure is essential.  With an authoritative voice filled with passion, we can share the common traits of struggle, persistence, perseverance, accomplishment, failures, heartbreak, love, and death.

Sharing our stories and experiences from the heart is powerful and effective.  Encouraging others to make a difference, giving hope and support that our environment and health situations can change, strikes like a laser beam to the listeners.  We lung cancer survivors and advocates take an active responsibility forour futures and that of others and have visions unaffected by cynicism while trusting our own intuition.

An estimated 235,760 people will be diagnosed with lung cancer in 2021 in the U.S. according to the American Cancer Society.  The World Health Organization indicates that up to 14%

of all lung cancer in a country can be caused by radon exposure depending on the national average radon level and smoking prevalence.

We are concerned because lung cancer is the greatest killer of all cancers and radioactive radon gas exposure is the greatest environmental cause of cancer mortality.  We must take action today with our stories, our connections, and our outreach to legislators, public health officials, educational facility managers, financial institutions, homeowners, realtors, and landlords.   The year 2022 can be the hear of hope, change, and life for those of us who know the tragedies of apathy, neglect, and indifference.  Take action and share your stories!  Make a difference!
