SURVIVING AND THRIVING—DOING WHAT IS NEEDED

Creating a meaning for your life and a method of survival can mean stepping out of your comfort zone, focusing on the bigger picture, and knowing with certainty that you can make a difference. This is what many lung cancer survivors and relatives of lung cancer victims do by transforming obstacles into opportunities and organizing communities for improved lung care, awareness, and treatment.

CR3 strives to inspire others to make a difference in lung cancer reduction through the education of the danger of radioactive radon exposure—the leading environmental cause of cancer mortality. This is accomplished by cultivating relationships with organizations, communities, industries, government, and business and medical leaders to set priorities for improving public health specifically reducing lung cancer which is a must for our future.

Surviving physically, financially, emotionally and spiritually during the last year has been painful for many. However, the realization that what one individual does affects the lives of many is becoming evident to our society and world. The use of masks and vaccinations are increasing, and our nation is understanding that protecting each other and proactively helping others can be as beneficial as receiving support personally.

Persistence and endurance are the key factors to success whether it is to stop the spread of Covid 19, to influence lawmakers on the need for radon reduction policy, or to reach out to the news media in order to share the message that radon exposure can easily be prevented with testing and mitigation.

Visualizing the desired outcome of all schools being tested for radon and mitigated if the radon level is elevated and all homes are tested for radon before occupancy and mitigated if high, can be both productive and motivating to the radon-induced lung cancer survivor or relative of a victim of radon exposure.

May your journey of survivorship be productive and your new endeavors of persistence and innovation enable you to thrive.
