CR3 is committed to providing education, awareness, and action on the danger of radioactive radon exposure —the leading environmental cause of cancer mortality. Increasing and unifying radon reduction advocates who have a mission of awareness and legislative change will help prevent future radon-induced lung cancer deaths.
CR3 has members on the national board of AARST, Heartland Chapter of AARST Board , MidWest AARST Chapter Board, TN Comprehensive Cancer Consortium Board
and more.
The uncertainty, anxiety, and fear that many of us are feeling at this time is a daily experience for the lung cancer patient as he or she encounters the unknown with questions like these: Will there be treatment or medicine to assist in recovery? Is it safe to go out in the public? What will the exam or test indicate?
Our new normal brings us face to face with the big picture of the need for efforts in scientific research and examination of evidence to continue with the determination for our chances of prevention, recovery, and survival. Working together for more positive outcomes in our mission to take care of others and provide a healthy and save environment in which to live, work and learn, must be paramount in our minds and deeds.
We applaud those who are in the trenches of healthcare facilities, those who are working tirelessly to create new methods of combating the evils of invaders in our lungs and lives--coronavirus and radioactive radon gas. The reality is: When breathing isn’t possible, nothing else really matters.
Perhaps this crisis will open our eyes to the old saying “health is wealth.” Radon induced lung cancer and the coronavirus can take your breath away. CR3 says “thank you” to all who are making a difference in the fight for life and breath.
